Diet not only provides us with the necessary nutrients to produce all the happy chemicals our brains and bodies need, it also affects the kind of bacteria you have in your gut. Why is that important? 80-90% of all the serotonin in your body is in your gut. Thats right! So if you have the 'good' bacteria that is producing a lot of happy chemicals, it will positively affect your brain. Keep the bacteria happy with nutrient rich foods and your bacteria will keep you happy. A good diet is essential to happiness.
